Car
If you are driving to Colonna di Sant'Alessandro from the center of Lake Como, head south on the SS583 towards Como. Merge onto the A9 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi) towards Milan. Continue for about 30 km and take the exit for Bergamo. Follow the signs for Bergamo and then for the city center (Centro). Once in Bergamo, you can park at one of the public parking areas near the historical center, such as Parcheggio Piazza Libertà. After parking, walk towards the Città Alta (Upper Town) where you will find the Colonna di Sant'Alessandro.

To reach Colonna di Sant'Alessandro using public transportation, take a train from Como to Bergamo. Trains run frequently from Como San Giovanni station to Bergamo station, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Bergamo station, exit and catch the ATB bus number 1 or 1A towards Città Alta (Upper Town). Get off at the stop named 'Colle Aperto' and then walk about 10 minutes uphill to reach the Colonna di Sant'Alessandro.
