Getting there

Funicular

From Città Alta, take the San Vigilio Funicular from Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe. The funicular operates frequently and provides a scenic, three-minute ride to the top of San Vigilio hill. Upon exiting the funicular station, follow the signs for a short walk to the castle entrance. A single ticket costs €1.30, and a return ticket is €2.60.

Bus

From Largo Colle Aperto, take bus line 21 towards San Vigilio. Get off at the San Vigilio Castle stop. From there, enter the public parking in front of the bus stop and go up the stairs. Once at the other parking area, take the staircase to the Relais San Vigilio entrance, and the castle will be a short walk away. Bus tickets cost around €1.30.

Walking

From Via al Castello in Città Alta, a scenic stairway leads directly to Torre Castello San Vigilio. The walk is steep and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Follow the cobblestone path uphill, passing the Relais San Vigilio hotel. There are no additional costs for walking.
