Fun way to spend a few hours in Lucca
Our guide, Alexandra, was absolutely delightful! (And she was gracious enough to let me practice my Italian with her through the tour, which I greatly appreciated!) Having done a fabulous food tour in Catania last summer (also through Viator) we only had that to compare our food tour in Lucca to. Maybe it’s not a fair comparison, being such different regions, but we felt the food on the tour in Catania was much better, in our opinion. (And the gelato we had at the place in Lucca was quite dense, more like traditional ice cream. Admittedly, we have rather high gelato standards though.) Overall, it was an enjoyable way to get a feel for the city and sample some local dishes.
