From the central area of Lucca, start at the Lucca train station (Stazione di Lucca). Exit the station and head straight onto Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the city walls. Walk along the city walls until you reach the Porta San Pietro gate. Exit the city walls at this point and turn right onto Via San Pietro. Follow this road as it turns into Via della Rosa. Continue on this street until you reach Piazza San Michele, a large square with a beautiful church. From Piazza San Michele, head towards Via Fillungo, the main shopping street. Follow Via Fillungo until you reach Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. From there, exit the square and head towards the Via del Battistero. From here, you can take a bus to Pisa or continue walking towards the train station for a direct train to Pisa. If you opt for the train, it will take about 30 minutes to reach Pisa. Once in Pisa, exit the train station and take a bus or walk towards the city center where you will find P.za Daniele Manin.
