Walking
If you are starting from the Lucca train station, exit the station and head east on Viale Giosuè Carducci towards the city center. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the city walls. Once you arrive at the walls, follow the path along the walls to the right until you reach Porta San Pietro. From Porta San Pietro, walk down Via San Pietro and turn left onto Via Fillungo. Continue along Via Fillungo until you reach Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, which will be on your right.

If you are near the Lucca Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Martino), exit the cathedral and head south on Via della Chiesa. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Martino. From there, take Via dei Fossi and continue until you reach the intersection with Via Fillungo. Turn right onto Via Fillungo and walk straight until you arrive at Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, located on your left.

If you are at the main bus station (Piazza della Libertà), exit the station and head east on Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Walk straight for about 500 meters, and you will arrive at the city walls. Follow the walls to the left until you reach Porta Santa Maria. From there, walk down Via Santa Maria, which will lead you directly to Piazza dell'Anfiteatro.
