If you are starting from the Lucca Train Station, exit the station and walk straight to Viale Regina Margherita. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the city walls. Go through the 'Porta Sant'Anna' gate to enter the historic center of Lucca. Once inside, head straight along Via Fillungo, which is the main shopping street in Lucca. Continue walking until you reach Piazza Antelminelli. The Cathedral of Lucca will be on your left.

If you are near the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, exit the square and head towards Via dell'Angelo Custode. Walk straight, and take a right onto Via San Paolino. Continue straight for a few blocks until you reach Piazza Antelminelli. The Cathedral of Lucca will be located in this square, visible from the street.

From the Lucca City Walls, find a stairway down to the city. Once you are at street level, walk towards Via Vittorio Emanuele. Follow this road until it merges into Via San Paolino. Continue until you reach Piazza Antelminelli, where the Cathedral of Lucca is situated.
