Walking
From the center of Lucca, head towards the Piazza San Michele, facing the church. Walk straight along Via San Michele until you reach the city walls. Turn left and follow the walls until you reach the Porta San Pietro. Exit the city through the gate and continue straight onto Via Romana. After about 1 km, you will reach the train station 'Lucca'. From there, take a train heading to Pisa, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pisa Centrale, you can either walk to the famous Leaning Tower or take a local bus.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Lucca. Start at the Lucca city walls and cycle towards the Porta San Pietro. After exiting the city, continue cycling straight on Via Romana for about 5 km until you reach the train station 'Lucca'. From there, take a train to Pisa. The ride is scenic and will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Pisa Centrale, it's a short bike ride or walk to the iconic Leaning Tower.

Walk to the nearest bus stop in Lucca, which can be found at Piazza San Francesco. Take the bus to Pisa, which is a direct line and runs frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. You will arrive at the main bus station in Pisa, from where you can easily walk to the Leaning Tower or take a local tram if needed.
