Start from the historical center of Lucca, specifically from the Lucca Cathedral at Piazza San Martino. Head southwest down Via Fillungo, which is the main shopping street. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Turn left onto Via San Paolino and walk until you reach the Porta San Pietro, a large city gate. Go through the gate and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Repubblica. Turn right onto Via della Repubblica and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the train station, Stazione di Lucca. From there, catch a train to Pisa. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pisa Centrale, exit the station and take a local bus (Line LAM Rossa) towards Piazza Solferino. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza Solferino', and you will find Ponte Solferino just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Lucca. Start from the city walls and cycle down Via della Cavallerizza towards the Porta San Pietro.
