To reach Logarghena Prati by car, start from Aulla and take the SP9 road towards Filattiera. Follow SP9 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach Filattiera. From Filattiera, follow the local signs directing you to Logarghena Prati. Parking is available near the trailhead. Note that the roads can be narrow and winding.

Public Transport

To reach Logarghena Prati by public transport, take a train to Aulla Lunigiana station. From Aulla, catch local bus Line 22 towards Filattiera, a ride of approximately 25 minutes. From Filattiera, local bus service may not go directly to Logarghena Prati, so a taxi from the bus stop to the hiking area may be necessary, costing around €15-€20 depending on demand.

These highland meadows, located at approximately 1,000 meters above sea level on the southeastern side of Mount Braiola, present a panoramic vista overlooking the Magra Valley. The landscape stretches from the Apuan Alps to the Apennine peaks, dominated by Mount Marmagna.Historically, these meadows served as grazing lands for cattle and Massese sheep. Today, Logarghena Prati is a haven for hikers, walkers, and picnickers. In May, the meadows burst into color with blooming daffodils, while late summer brings a variety of mushrooms. Several trails lead to Monte Orsaro, Monte Marmagna, and Lake Santo Parmense, passing through blueberry-covered moorlands and local shelters like the Mattei Refuge, Tifoni Bivouac, and Mariotti Refuge. One notable trail, path 128, follows the ancient Lombard road towards Passo del Cirone, once a vital medieval trade route.The area is easily accessible by car, making it a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The trails are well-marked, offering opportunities to explore the natural beauty and tranquility of the Lunigiana region. Nearby attractions include the medieval village of Filattiera, the ancient Parish Church of Sorano, and the picturesque village of Serravalle.
