From the piazza, take Via della Visitazione, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Castello. Turn left onto Via del Castello, and you will find Tramontano Castle on your right. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes.

    From the Sassi di Matera (the ancient cave dwellings), make your way to Via Bruno Buozzi. Continue along this road until you reach Piazza San Pietro Caveoso. From the piazza, head towards the stairs leading up to Via del Castello. At the top, turn left and follow the road until you reach Tramontano Castle. This route too will take around 15 minutes.

    If you are at the Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario, exit and walk towards Via Fiorentini. Turn right and continue until you reach Via del Castello. Turn left here, and Tramontano Castle will be ahead on your right. This journey will also take approximately 15 minutes.
