If you are starting from the Matera Cathedral, head east towards Piazza Vittorio Veneto. From the piazza, take Via della Visitazione, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Castello. Turn left onto Via del Castello, and you will find Tramontano Castle on your right. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes.

From the piazza, head towards the stairs leading up to Via del Castello. At the top, turn left and follow the road until you reach Tramontano Castle. This route too will take around 15 minutes.
