From Milan, head to Milano Centrale train station. You can reach this station by taking the Metro Line 2 (Green Line) or Line 3 (Yellow Line) to Centrale FS station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Como San Giovanni train station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule on the Trenord website or at the station. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Como San Giovanni, exit the station and head towards the lakefront, which is about a 15-minute walk.

From Milan, you can also take a bus to Como. Head to the Autostazione Lampugnano bus station, accessible via Metro Line 1 (Red Line) to Lampugnano station. From there, you can catch a bus to Como, which typically takes around 1 hour. The bus will drop you off close to the city center, from where you can walk to the lakefront area.

After arriving at Como, if you would like to explore the lake, consider taking a ferry. Walk towards the ferry terminal near the lakefront (about a 5-minute walk from Como San Giovanni train station).
