Getting There

  If you're driving from cities like Geneva or Lausanne, take the A1 motorway towards Zurich. At the interchange, switch to the A2 towards Lugano. Continue on the A2 until you reach the exit for Grandate, then follow signs towards Cernobbio. Once in Cernobbio, cross the border into Italy and continue on the SP1 until you reach the town of Alta Valle Intelvi. From there, follow the signs to Via Sighignola, where Balcone d'Italia is located. Note that parking may be limited near the viewpoint.

  Start by taking a train from major Swiss cities such as Geneva or Lausanne to Como. From Como, you can catch a bus (Line C10) to the town of Alta Valle Intelvi. Once you arrive in Alta Valle Intelvi, you might need to walk or take a local taxi service to reach Via Sighignola. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary, and ensure to have some cash for the bus fare, which is approximately €2-€3.
