From Bologna Centrale train station, take bus line 35 or 38. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes to the 'Costituzione' bus stop. A single bus ticket costs €2.30. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the Certosa entrance. Alternatively, bus lines 19 or 36 will drop you off at the Chiesa Certosa stop, which is a 3-minute walk to the entrance.

From Piazza Maggiore, the walk to Certosa di Bologna is approximately 40 minutes. Follow Via Andrea Costa, which leads directly towards the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Continue along the portico that starts at the Meloncello Arch. The Certosa entrance is located at the end of this portico, past the stadium. No costs are involved.
