Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the center of Modena, head towards Corso Canalchiaro. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via Emilia. Turn right onto Via Emilia, and continue walking for about 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for the beautiful architecture along the way. You will eventually reach the big square, Piazza Maggiore, which is a great landmark of Bologna. From Piazza Maggiore, continue walking straight until you reach the end of the square and then turn left onto Via Ugo Bassi. Follow this road for about 10 minutes. You will see Piazza Galvani on your right, right before you reach the intersection with Via Indipendenza.

  • Bus

    From Modena, head to the Modena bus station located at Piazza della Libertà. Look for the bus lines heading towards Bologna (such as the line 11 or 13). It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach Bologna. Once you arrive at Bologna's main bus terminal, exit the station and walk towards Via Indipendenza. Follow the street straight ahead until you reach the intersection with Via Ugo Bassi. Turn right onto Via Ugo Bassi and walk for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Piazza Galvani on your left.

  • Train

    Make your way to Modena train station, which is located at Piazza Dante Alighieri. Purchase a ticket to Bologna Centrale. The train ride takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Bologna Centrale, exit the station and head towards Via dell'Indipendenza. You can either walk or catch a bus from here. If walking, head down Via dell'Indipendenza for about 15 minutes. As you approach the end of the street, take a left onto Via Ugo Bassi and after a short walk, you will find Piazza Galvani on your left.
