    If you are starting at Piazza Grande, the central square of Montepulciano, head down Via Ricci towards the east. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Via di Gracciano nel Corso. Turn left onto Via di Gracciano nel Corso and walk for another 200 meters. Porta al Prato will be on your right, marked by the historic archway.

    From the Montepulciano train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Via di Gracciano. Follow the signs for Montepulciano, which will lead you uphill. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance of Montepulciano. Continue walking through the historic streets until you reach Piazza Grande. From there, follow the previous directions to Porta al Prato.

    If you are near the Church of San Biagio, head towards the main road, Via di Gracciano. Walk up the hill for about 1 kilometer, enjoying the scenic views.
