Walking
Start at the main square of Montepulciano, Piazza Grande. Head south on Via Ricci, and continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Via delle Lettere. Turn left onto Via delle Lettere and follow it until it merges with Via di Gracciano nel Corso. Keep walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the outskirts of Montepulciano, look for signs directing you towards Abbadia San Salvatore. You will eventually see a path leading down towards the valley. Follow this path until you reach the main road (SP88). Cross the road carefully and continue walking in the direction of Abbadia San Salvatore, which is approximately 3 kilometers away. Keep an eye out for signs for San Salvatore Abbey, which will be on your left as you approach the town.
