Car
If you are driving from the center of Castiglione d'Orcia, head southeast on Via Roma towards SP18. Continue on SP18 for about 5 km. Turn left onto Via del Bollore. After approximately 1 km, you will arrive at Bagni di San Filippo, located at Via del Bollore, 33. There is parking available near the hot springs, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee, typically around €5.
Public Transportation
To reach Bagni di San Filippo by public transportation, take a bus from either Pienza or Montalcino to Castiglione d'Orcia. Once in Castiglione d'Orcia, you will need to take a local taxi or arrange for a ride, as there is no direct public transport to the hot springs. The taxi ride will take about 10 minutes and should cost around €15-€20. It’s advisable to check local bus schedules in advance.
Walking
If you are staying in Castiglione d'Orcia and prefer to walk, you can reach Bagni di San Filippo on foot. The distance is approximately 6 km, and it will take about 1.5 hours. From the center of Castiglione d'Orcia, head southeast on Via Roma and then turn left onto SP18. Follow this road until you reach Via del Bollore, where you can find the hot springs. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.
