Walking
From the center of Parma, start at the Piazza Garibaldi. Head west on Via Garibaldi towards Via Cavour. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Mazzini. Turn left onto Via Mazzini and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the edge of the city. From there, follow the signs to the train station (Stazione di Parma). Once at the station, take a train towards Mantova. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Mantova train station, exit and head to the bus stop located near the station. Catch a bus heading to Sabbioneta (check the bus schedules as they may vary). The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Ducale' and you will find Palazzo Ducale Sabbioneta right in front of you.
Public Transport
Start at the central bus station in Parma (Autostazione di Parma). Look for a bus heading towards Mantova. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mantova bus station, transfer to a local bus that goes to Sabbioneta. This bus ride takes another 30 minutes. Get off at 'Piazza Ducale' stop, and you will find Palazzo Ducale Sabbioneta just a short walk away.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Parma. Start your ride from the center, heading west on Via Garibaldi. Follow the same route to the train station as described earlier. From the train station, take a train towards Mantova with your bike (make sure to check if bikes are allowed on the train). After arriving in Mantova, cycle to Sabbioneta following the signs or a map, which is approximately 15 km away and may take around 40-50 minutes by bike.
