From the city center of Parma, head to the main bus station, 'Stazione delle Corriere', located at Viale delle Repubblica. Look for bus line 21 or 22 towards 'Torrechiara'. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Torrechiara' stop. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the Castle, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding countryside.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Parma. Head towards Via Emilia Est and follow the signs to Torrechiara. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and takes around 40 minutes to ride. The path is mostly flat and offers lovely views of the landscape. Once you arrive in Torrechiara, follow the signs to the castle, which is located on a hill just outside the village.

For the adventurous, consider walking from Parma to Torrechiara. Start at the city center and follow Via Emilia towards the east. After about 6 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Torrechiara. This walk will take approximately 2 hours. Once in Torrechiara, head uphill to find the Castle. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be steep at times.
