If you are starting from the central area of Perugia, head towards Corso Vannucci, which is the main street. Walk along Corso Vannucci until you reach the Piazza della Repubblica, which is about a 10-minute walk. From Piazza della Repubblica, take the Via Ulisse Rocchi road which leads you downhill. Continue straight on this road until you reach the intersection with Via dei Priori. Turn right onto Via dei Priori and continue walking until you reach Piazza Giacomo Matteotti. The Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo is located at number 22 on Piazza Giacomo Matteotti.

If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from the central bus station at Piazza Partigiani. Look for bus lines that head towards the city center, specifically lines 1, 3, or 5. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Matteotti' which is a short walk from the Palazzo. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the square, and the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo will be at number 22 on your left.

For a unique experience, you can take the mini metro from the station at Pincetto. Board the mini metro towards 'Pian di Massiano' and get off at the 'Giontella' stop. From there, it is a short walk uphill. Head towards the historical center by following the signs for 'Piazza Giacomo Matteotti'.
