From the center of Perugia, head to the main bus station, 'Piazza Partigiani.' Look for the bus that goes to Assisi. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Assisi's bus station, exit and follow the signs toward the town center. Walk straight along 'Via G. Mazzini' until you reach 'Piazza del Comune.' From the square, continue walking uphill on 'Via della Rocca' until you see the Rocca Maggiore on your left.

Once you arrive at the Assisi train station, exit and take a local bus or walk towards the town center. If walking, follow the signs for 'Piazza del Comune,' and then continue uphill on 'Via della Rocca' until you reach the Rocca Maggiore.
