From the square, continue walking uphill on 'Via della Rocca' until you see the Rocca Maggiore on your left.

    Make your way to the 'Perugia Fontivegge' train station. Purchase a ticket for a train to Assisi. The journey lasts approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the Assisi train station, exit and take a local bus or walk towards the town center. If walking, follow the signs for 'Piazza del Comune,' and then continue uphill on 'Via della Rocca' until you reach the Rocca Maggiore.

    If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from Perugia to Assisi, which spans about 25 kilometers. Start from the historical center of Perugia and head towards 'Via dei Priori.' Follow the signs for the walking path to Assisi, which will take you through beautiful countryside and vineyards. It may take around 5 to 6 hours to reach Assisi. Once you arrive, head to 'Piazza del Comune' and then up 'Via della Rocca' to find the Rocca Maggiore.
