Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Pisa Central Train Station, exit the station and head south towards Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, turn left onto Via Santa Maria and walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the river. You will see the Lungarni di Pisa along the riverbank. The Ponte Solferino is located along this scenic stretch.

From the Leaning Tower of Pisa, head south on Via Santa Maria for about 300 meters until you reach Piazza dei Miracoli. Exit the square and turn left onto Via del Castello. Follow this street until it merges into Lungarno Pacinotti, then continue walking along the river for about 700 meters. You will eventually arrive at Ponte Solferino, where you can enjoy the views of the river.

If you are near the city center, you can take the LAM Rossa bus from any nearby stop towards 'Aeroporto'. Get off at the 'Piazza Garibaldi' stop. From there, walk towards the river, and follow the Lungarni until you reach Ponte Solferino. This should take about 10-15 minutes on foot after the bus ride.
