From the center of Pisa, head towards the Pisa San Rossore train station. Exit the station and walk to Viale Gramsci. Follow Viale Gramsci until you reach the bus stop for the LUCCA Shuttle (look for signs indicating Lucca). Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride to Lucca, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lucca bus station, exit the bus and head straight. Walk through the city gates and continue straight until you reach Via Fillungo. Follow Via Fillungo for about 10 minutes until you reach Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a beautiful oval-shaped square that was once a Roman amphitheater.

Start from Pisa Centrale train station. Purchase a ticket for Lucca, which is a direct route that takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca train station, exit the station and walk straight ahead to Viale Marconi. From there, follow the signs to the historic city center. Continue walking until you reach the city walls, then enter through one of the gates. After entering, walk straight through the streets until you find yourself on Via Fillungo. Continue along this street until you arrive at Piazza dell'Anfiteatro.
