From the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance, head east on Via Villa dei Misteri towards Via Plinio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and walk until you reach the Pompeii train station, which is about a 10-minute walk. From the train station, you can catch a train to Ercolano or Ottaviano. Make sure to check the train schedule. Once you arrive at Ottaviano station, exit the station and head north on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight until you see signs for Mount Vesuvius.
