If you're driving from central Portofino, start by heading south on Via Duca degli Abruzzi toward the SP227 road. Continue on SP227 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the town of Levanto. Upon entering Levanto, follow signs for the town center (Centro) and make a left onto Via Domenico Grillo. The Castello di Levanto will be on your right at number 10.

To reach Castello di Levanto via public transport, start from the Portofino bus stop. Take the bus to Santa Margherita Ligure. From there, transfer to a train at Santa Margherita Ligure station towards La Spezia. Disembark at Levanto station, which is about a 15-minute train ride. Once you arrive at Levanto station, exit and walk straight ahead to Via Domenico Grillo, which is a short 10-minute walk. The castle will be located on your right.
