Ferry
To reach Ischia from Positano, start by walking to the main beach area in Positano, known as Spiaggia Grande. From there, look for the ferry terminal, which is located at the eastern end of the beach. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Ischia. The ferry ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule ahead of time as services may vary throughout the day.
Boat
An alternative option is to take a private boat or water taxi from Positano to Ischia. Approach one of the boat rental services along the beach and inquire about a direct trip to Ischia. This option can be more expensive but offers a beautiful and scenic route across the water.
Public Transport
If you prefer to use public transport, first walk to the nearest bus stop in Positano, which is located near the main road (SS163). Take the SITA bus to Sorrento. Once you arrive in Sorrento, head to the Sorrento ferry terminal. From there, purchase a ferry ticket to Ischia. The total travel time including the bus and ferry may take around 2 to 2.5 hours.
