From Positano, head to the main marina located at the beach. Look for the ticket booth for ferries to Pompei. Purchase a ticket to the nearest port, typically Sorrento. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sorrento, follow the signs to the train station (Circumvesuviana) located near the marina.
