If you are driving from Bari, take the A14 motorway towards Taranto. After approximately 70 km, exit at 'Martina Franca'. Follow the signs for Martina Franca, which will lead you onto the SS172. As you approach the city, look for signs directing you to the historic center. Once you reach the city, park in one of the designated areas outside the old town, such as Parcheggio Piazza della Libertà. From there, it’s a short walk to Piazza Plebiscito.
Public Transportation
To reach Piazza Plebiscito by public transportation from Bari, take a train from Bari Centrale to Martina Franca. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Martina Franca station, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a local bus (line 1 or 2) towards the city center. If walking, exit the station and head straight on Via Taranto, then follow the signs towards the historic center. Piazza Plebiscito is located in the heart of the old town.
Car
If you are coming from Lecce, drive on the SS101 towards Brindisi, then take the SS16 towards Taranto. Exit at 'Martina Franca' and follow the signs into the city center. As you enter Martina Franca, you will find parking areas near the historic center. After parking, it’s a short walk to Piazza Plebiscito. The square is a popular attraction, so it should be easy to find.
Public Transportation
From Taranto, take a regional train to Martina Franca. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Martina Franca station, you can either take a bus (line 1 or 2) or walk to the city center. If you decide to walk, exit the station and head towards Via Taranto, following the signs to the historic district. Piazza Plebiscito is a central point in the old town.
