Walking
From the main square of Ravello (Piazza Vescovado), head south on Via Vescovado toward Via San Giovanni del Toro. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via San Giovanni del Toro. Turn left onto Via San Giovanni del Toro and walk down the road until you reach the bus stop for SITA buses heading to Paestum. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
Bus
At the bus stop in Ravello, board the SITA bus heading to Paestum. Make sure to check the schedule for the next departure times. The bus will take you along the coastal road with beautiful views. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop labeled 'Paestum' or 'Capaccio Paestum'. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the archaeological site, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Combination of Walking and Public Transport
If you prefer a scenic route, start by walking from Ravello to Minori (about 20 minutes). From Minori, find the SITA bus stop and take a bus to Paestum. This option allows you to enjoy the beautiful coastal walk before catching the bus, and the total journey time will be approximately 1 hour including walking and bus travel.
