If you are starting from the main train station in Ravenna, exit the station and turn right onto Via Maroncelli. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach Piazza Garibaldi. From the square, head towards Via Roma, which is located on your left. Follow Via Roma, which will lead you directly to the historic center. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Via San Vitale. Turn right on Via San Vitale, and the Basilica of San Vitale will be on your left after about 200 meters at number 17.
