If you are starting from the Ravenna Train Station, exit the station and turn left onto Viale Farini. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Via di Roma. Turn right onto Via di Roma and continue walking for another 500 meters. You will come to Piazza del Popolo; from there, walk straight through the square and continue onto Via Galla Placidia. The Church of Saint Mary 'Maggiore' will be on your left side after about 200 meters.

From the Ravenna Train Station, take Bus Line 1 towards 'Marina di Ravenna'. Get off at the 'Piazza del Popolo' stop. Once you get off, walk straight through Piazza del Popolo, keeping the statue of Dante Alighieri on your right. Continue walking straight onto Via Galla Placidia for about 200 meters, and you will find the Church of Saint Mary 'Maggiore' on your left.
