The Enchanting Giardino del Lago: A Hidden Gem in Rome

Getting There

• Metro

  To get to Giardino del Lago, start by finding the nearest Metro station. If you are near the Spanish Steps, walk to the Spagna Metro Station (Line A). Board the train towards Anagnina and travel for 3 stops. Get off at the Flaminio station. From there, exit the station and head north on Via del Corso. Continue straight until you reach the Piazza del Popolo. From the Piazza, walk up Via di Ripetta, then continue onto Via del Boccaccio, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Villa Borghese. Once inside, follow the signs to Giardino del Lago.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus lines 81 or 87. Board the bus and you will travel towards the Villa Borghese area. Get off at the 'Piazzale Flaminio' stop. From there, walk into the park towards Giardino del Lago. The park is well marked, and it’s a pleasant walk through the greenery.

  If you are already near Villa Borghese, you can walk directly to Giardino del Lago. Enter the park from the main entrance at Piazzale del Popolo. Once inside, take the path towards the right that leads you through the park. Follow the signs for Giardino del Lago; it is a scenic route that will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi. Simply hail a taxi from the street or use a taxi app. Provide the driver with the address 'Giardino del Lago, 00197 Roma RM'. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the garden.
