If you're starting from central Rome, take Line A (the orange line) from any of the central stations such as Termini or Spagna. Get off at the Ottaviano stop. Once you exit the station, head southwest on Via Ottaviano until you reach the Vatican City walls. Continue walking straight for about 5-10 minutes until you see the entrance to the Vatican Museums on your left. The Gallery of Maps is located inside the museums.

From Termini Station, take bus number 64 towards 'Piazza Stazione San Pietro'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza San Pietro'. From there, walk towards the Vatican Museums entrance. The Gallery of Maps is located inside the museums, which will be on your left after passing through the entrance.

If you're staying in central Rome, you might enjoy a scenic walk to the Vatican City. From Castel Sant'Angelo, head towards the Tiber River and walk along the riverbank. Follow the path until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue along Via della Conciliazione until you reach St. Peter's Square. After exploring the square, make your way to the Vatican Museums entrance, where the Gallery of Maps is located.
