Getting There

Metro
If you're near a Metro station, take Line B (Blue Line) and alight at the Colosseo station. Once you exit the station, head towards the Colosseum, which will be in front of you. From there, walk along Via di San Giovanni in Laterano until you reach Piazza del Colosseo. Continue walking straight along Via dei Fori Imperiali, and you'll arrive at Lapis Niger after about 10 minutes. The site will be on your left.

Look for a bus stop nearby and take bus number 75, 81, or 87. Disembark at the 'Piazza Venezia' stop. From there, walk south along Via del Corso until you reach Piazza del Colosseo. Then, continue onto Via dei Fori Imperiali. Lapis Niger will be on your left in approximately 10 minutes.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Roman Forum or the Colosseum, you can walk to Lapis Niger. From the Roman Forum, exit onto Via della Salara Vecchia and walk towards Via dei Fori Imperiali. Keep walking straight along Via dei Fori Imperiali for about 15 minutes. Lapis Niger will be on your left side just before you reach the end of the road.

For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a rideshare service like Uber. Just provide the driver with the address 'Via dei Fori Imperiali, 00186 Roma RM'. They will know how to get you there. It should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
