Getting There

    If you are starting from the Colosseum, walk northwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano towards Piazza del Colosseo. Continue onto Via del Colosseo and then take a left onto Via dei Fori Imperiali. Lapis Niger is located on the left side, near the Roman Forum.

  • Public Transport - Metro

    Take Metro Line B from any station towards Laurentina and get off at the Colosseo station. From there, exit and walk northwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano towards Piazza del Colosseo. Continue onto Via del Colosseo and then take a left onto Via dei Fori Imperiali. Lapis Niger will be on your left.
