Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Colosseum, head northwest on Via di Villa Peretti towards Via Celio Vibenna. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection of Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Turn right onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. From there, head northwest on Via Merulana, which will lead you towards Piazza della Repubblica. Once you reach Piazza della Repubblica, take the Via Nazionale and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you arrive at Piazza Venezia. From Piazza Venezia, take Via del Teatro di Marcello until you see the climb leading to the top of the Capitoline Hill. Follow the path up to the top, and you will find Piazza D'Aracoeli, with its beautiful views over the city.
