If you are near the Colosseum, exit onto Piazza del Colosseo and head northwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Turn left onto Via Labicana and continue straight until you reach Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. From there, head north on Via della Navicella, then turn left onto Via San Gregorio and follow the road as it curves into Via di Valle Murcia. Continue until you reach Via dei Fori Imperiali and turn right. Walk straight to Piazza Venezia and you will see the Altare della Patria.
