    Take Line A of the Rome Metro (the Orange Line) from any station towards Anagnina. Get off at the Ottaviano station. From Ottaviano station, exit and head southwest on Viale Giulio Cesare towards Via Cola di Rienzo. Turn left onto Via Cola di Rienzo and continue until you reach Piazza del Risorgimento. From there, walk straight to Via delle Fosse di Castello, then turn right onto Via di Porta Castello. Follow this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river via the Ponte Sant'Angelo, and then continue straight to Piazza Mastai, which will be on your left.

  • Bus

    Find the nearest bus stop and take bus number 23 or 280. Both buses will take you towards the Trastevere area. Get off at the 'Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano' stop. From there, walk southwest along Via dell'Amba Aradam until it intersects with Via delle Sette Chiese. Turn left onto Via delle Sette Chiese and continue walking straight until you reach Piazza Mastai.

    If you are near the historic center, start at Piazza Navona. Head southeast towards Via di Tor Millina, then turn onto Via dei Coronari. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River.
