Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Colosseum, exit towards Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via della Ferratella in Laterano. Turn left onto Via della Ferratella in Laterano and continue straight for another 10 minutes. You will reach the Tiber River, where you can see the beautiful view of the river. Continue walking along the riverbank until you see Ponte Testaccio on your right side.

  • Metro

    From Termini Station, take Line B (Blue Line) in the direction of Laurentina. Get off at the Piramide station. Exit the station and head towards the Pyramid of Cestius. From there, walk along Via Marmorata for about 10 minutes until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the road, and you will find Ponte Testaccio directly ahead.

  • Bus

    Board bus line 23 at the nearest stop (e.g., near the Colosseum). Stay on the bus for around 20 minutes, then get off at the stop named 'Ponte Testaccio'. From the bus stop, you will see the bridge directly in front of you. Simply cross the road to reach Ponte Testaccio.

  • Tram

    If you are near the Vatican, take Tram Line 8 from 'Venezia' towards 'Casaletto'. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop 'Trastevere'. From Trastevere, you can either walk for about 15 minutes along the river or take bus line 44 to the stop 'Ponte Testaccio', which will bring you directly to the bridge.
