You can also reach Porta Maggiore by tram. If you're near the city center, head to the 'Vittorio Emanuele' tram stop and take tram number 5 or 14. The ride will take about 10 minutes. For access via the Metro, go to Termini Station (the main train station in Rome). Take Line A (the orange line) towards Anagnina. Get off at 'Vittorio Emanuele' station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk. Head towards Via Cavour and follow signs to Piazza di Porta Maggiore. The monument will be visible as you approach.
