Metro
To reach Piazza Pia by metro, take Line A (the orange line) and get off at the 'Ottaviano' station. From there, exit the station and head southeast on Via Ottaviano towards Piazza San Pietro. Continue onto Via della Conciliazione, which leads directly to the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, turn left onto Lungotevere Castel Sant'Angelo and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Turn right onto Via della Conciliazione and continue straight until you reach Piazza Pia.
Bus
To get to Piazza Pia by bus, find a bus stop near your location and take bus number 40 or 64, both of which head towards St. Peter's Square. Get off at the 'Piazza San Pietro' stop. From there, walk towards the Tiber River and cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, turn left onto Lungotevere Castel Sant'Angelo and continue straight. You will reach Piazza Pia after a short walk.
Walking
If you're close to the Vatican City, you can easily walk to Piazza Pia. Start at St. Peter's Basilica and head towards the Vatican Museums. Walk along Via di Porta Angelica, and then take a left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge and then proceed to walk straight on Lungotevere Castel Sant'Angelo. You will soon arrive at Piazza Pia.
Tram
Take Tram 8 from the nearest tram stop to your location towards 'Argentinara'. Get off at the 'Piazza Venezia' stop. From there, walk towards the Colosseo and follow the signs to the Tiber River. Cross the bridge Ponte Sant'Angelo and turn left on Lungotevere Castel Sant'Angelo. Walk until you arrive at Piazza Pia.
