Catch tram line 8 from 'Piazza Venezia' or 'San Giovanni' and travel towards 'Casaletto'. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at 'Piazza di Porta Portese'. The Porta Portese will be right in front of you as you exit the tram.

If you are nearby in the Trastevere area, you can walk to Porta Portese. Start at 'Piazza Trilussa' and head southeast along 'Via di Porta Portese'. It will take around 15 minutes on foot. Keep walking straight, and you'll find the historic gate at the end of the street.

Take Metro Line B from 'Termini' station towards 'Laurentina'. Get off at 'Circo Massimo' station. Transfer to bus line 81 towards 'Piazza di Porta Portese'. After about 10 minutes on the bus, get off at 'Piazza di Porta Portese'. You'll find the historic site right in front of you.
