Walking
From the historic center of San Gimignano, head towards the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. Once you reach the square, take the exit towards Via San Giovanni. Follow this street until you reach the main road, Via Vecchia. Turn left and continue walking straight. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the bus stop for Florence (Firenze). Take a bus that is heading towards Florence, which will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Florence, follow the signs to the city center and walk towards Borgo S. Frediano which is located just across the Arno River. The street is easily accessible and bustling with local shops and restaurants.

Start at the main bus station in San Gimignano, located near the Porta San Giovanni. Purchase a ticket for Florence (Firenze) at the ticket machine or counter. Board the bus heading to Florence; it typically leaves every hour. During the ride, enjoy the scenic views of the Tuscan countryside. Once you arrive at the Florence bus station, exit and walk towards the city center. Follow the directions to the Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge) and cross it. After crossing, take a left onto Via de' Guicciardini, and continue straight until you reach Borgo S. Frediano.
