Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main square, Piazza della Cisterna, head south on Via San Giovanni. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fonti. Turn left onto Via delle Fonti and walk until you reach the end of the street. At the end, turn right onto Via della Madonna. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, following the signs for Castello di Brolio. The castle will be on your right.

  • Bus

    From San Gimignano, head to the bus station located near the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. Look for the bus that is heading towards Gaiole in Chianti. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gaiole in Chianti, ask the driver to let you off at the stop closest to Castello di Brolio. From there, it's a short walk of about 10 minutes uphill to reach the castle.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in San Gimignano. Start from the main square, Piazza della Cisterna, and head east towards Via Vecchia. Follow this road until you reach the fork, then veer left onto Strada Provinciale 5. Continue cycling for about 4 km until you see the signs for Castello di Brolio. The castle will be located on your right, and there are bike racks available near the entrance.
