Walking
If you are starting from the main entrance of the historic center, walk straight ahead along Via San Giovanni. Continue until you reach the intersection with Piazza della Cisterna. Turn left onto Piazza della Cisterna and walk through the square. The Duomo di San Gimignano is located just a short distance ahead on your right at Piazza delle Erbe. As you approach, look for the beautiful façade of the cathedral and the surrounding historical buildings.

From the San Gimignano bus station, exit onto Via Roma and head towards the town center. Follow Via Roma until it turns into Via San Giovanni. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza della Cisterna. At the square, turn left and proceed to Piazza delle Erbe, where the Duomo di San Gimignano is located. You will see the entrance to the cathedral as you enter the square.

If you are at the Torre Grossa, walk down towards Piazza della Cisterna. From the square, head towards the left side and take the path leading to Piazza delle Erbe. The Duomo di San Gimignano will be on your right as you enter the square, easily visible due to its impressive architecture.
