Walking
From the center of San Gimignano, head towards the main road, Via San Giovanni. Walk straight until you reach the large Piazza della Cisterna. Continue walking straight through the Piazza until you reach the end of the square where it meets Via San Matteo. Turn left onto Via San Matteo and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via Vecchia. Here, you will need to take a bus to Florence. Look for the bus stop and take the bus to Florence. Once you arrive in Florence, follow the directions below.

Bus
Once you arrive in Florence, get off at the main bus station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella. From there, exit the bus terminal and head towards the main street, Via Nazionale. Walk straight until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From Piazza della Repubblica, head towards the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, which is easily recognizable by its large dome. The Opera del Duomo Museum is located at Piazza del Duomo, 9, right next to the cathedral. You can also ask for directions if needed.
