Start from the Piazza del Campo, the main square of Siena. From the center of the Piazza del Campo, walk towards the Palazzo Pubblico (the town hall) and exit the square on the left side. Follow the Via di Città, which is a main street that leads you through the historical center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Banchi di Sopra. Turn right onto Via Banchi di Sopra, and then take the first left onto Via di San Domenico.

Continue along Via di San Domenico. You will see the beautiful Basilica di San Domenico on your right. Follow the road as it curves slightly to the left, and you will soon see the large open space of Piazza S. Domenico directly ahead. The square is easily recognizable, and you’ll be able to enjoy the impressive view of the basilica and the surrounding area.

If you are starting from the Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena), exit the cathedral and head down the stairs towards the Piazza del Duomo. Turn left onto Via di Città, and follow the same directions as before to Via di San Domenico. This route will also lead you to Piazza S. Domenico.
