Start at the main square in Montepulciano, Piazza Grande. From there, head downhill towards Via del Teatro. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Via di Gracciano nel Corso and walk until you reach the junction with Via di Voltaia nel Corso. Turn left onto Via di Voltaia nel Corso and continue walking until you reach the bottom of the hill. You will arrive at the bus station, where you can catch a bus to Siena. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

Once you arrive at the bus station in Montepulciano, purchase a ticket for Siena. Board the bus heading towards Siena, and enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Siena bus terminal. From there, exit the bus terminal and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs to Piazza del Campo, then from there, head towards Piazza San Giovanni, where the Battistero di San Giovanni Battista is located. It is just a short walk from Piazza del Campo, taking about 10 minutes.

For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Montepulciano directly to Siena. You can find taxis waiting at the main square, Piazza Grande. The taxi ride will take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Siena, ask the driver to drop you off at Piazza San Giovanni.
