Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Sorrento, head to the Sorrento train station located at Piazza della Vittoria. Once you arrive at the train station, purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Naples Garibaldi Station, follow the signs to the Metro Line 1 and take a train towards Piscinola. Get off at the Dante station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Via Toledo, then continue straight until you reach Piazza S. Francesco a Capuana. Porta Capuana will be visible as you approach the square.

  • Bus

    From Sorrento, go to the main bus station located near Piazza Tasso. Look for the EAV bus service that goes to Naples. Purchase your ticket and board the bus. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Napoli Centrale, walk to the nearby Garibaldi Station and follow the same directions as above to reach Porta Capuana.

  • Train and Tram

    Start at Sorrento Railway Station and take the Circumvesuviana train to Napoli Garibaldi. After reaching Garibaldi, exit the train and walk to the nearby tram stop. Take Tram Line 1 towards S. Giovanni a Teduccio and get off at the stop for Piazza S. Francesco a Capuana. The landmark will be right in front of you.
