Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Taormina, head down Corso Umberto I towards Porta Messina. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop at Piazza della Repubblica. Take the bus heading towards Catania and get off at Aci Castello. From the bus stop, walk down Via Provinciale for approximately 10 minutes. You will see the entrance to Cyclops Islands Marine Protected Area on your right.

    Start at the Taormina bus terminal located near Porta Catania. Board the AST bus towards Catania. Ensure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Aci Castello stop. Walk along Via Provinciale for about 10 minutes until you reach Cyclops Islands Marine Protected Area, which will be on your right-hand side.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Taormina. Taxis are available throughout the town. Inform the driver you want to go to Cyclops Islands Marine Protected Area in Aci Castello. The journey will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver should drop you off right outside the entrance.
