Walking
From the central area of Taormina, head towards Corso Umberto I, the main street. Walk down this street until you reach the end, where you'll see a large set of stairs leading down. Descend the stairs and continue straight until you reach the bus station. Once there, you can catch a bus to Catania, which will take approximately 1 hour. Make sure to check the bus schedule for times. After arriving at the Catania bus station, exit the station and head towards Via Etnea, which is a main street leading into the city. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza del Duomo, where the Fontana dell'Elefante is located.

From Taormina, go to the local bus station located on Via Luigi Pirandello. Look for the bus line that goes to Catania; the most common one is the Interbus. Purchase your ticket from the kiosk or the driver, and board the bus. The journey will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Catania bus station, exit and head towards the nearby Via Etnea.
